Smoked beer (“Rauchbier”)

Artfully crafted specialty from upper Franconia

The mildly shining copper color of the beer instantly gives a visually appealing impression, waking the curiosity of the drinker.

When nosing the beer you are greeted by complex aromas of smoked ham, blended with the fine sweetness of malt and the bitterness of hops creating a well- balanced flavor.

On the palate full-bodied and individual aromas of beech wood and smoked ham are counterbalanced by the fruity aromas of malt which give the beer a round and sweet finish.

The purposely moderate use of smoked malt allows the bitterness of hops and maltiness to gentle the smoky notes, creating individual flavors harmonically balanced with the fresh and stimulating character of the beer.

Cellar beer (“Kellerbier”)

The Bavarian classic on every brewery cellar. (Bierkeller)

The slightly dark Cellar beer by Löwentrunk primarily captivates the drinker through its elegant taste and a carefully inserted touch of dark malt. A faint hint of the sweetness of roasted malt combined with strong aromas of hops create a well-balanced taste.

While nosing the beer the pleasant harmony between a malty but also fruity sweetness and a fine bitterness of hops can be realized immediately. The equilibrium continues on the palate. The taste is characterized by a clear note of malt which is well-balanced with the fine aromatic bitterness of hops.

This Cellar beer clearly fulfills its traditional purpose as a strong and dark beer without over- emphasizing any of the individual flavors. Löwenbräu’s Kellerbier is an elegant variety of the Franconian cellar beer standing out especially because of its complexity and artfully designed flavors.

Wheat beer (“Weizenbier”)

Creamy potpourri of fruit with refreshing tanginess

When nosing the beer an initial burst of complex aromas such as clear fruity notes of banana, apricot and ripe peaches blended with a fine freshness suggest a pleasant smoothness.

On the palate the first fresh tanginess is complemented by a potpourri of fruit without any notion of bitterness, which increases the complexity of the beer.

Delicate notes of yeast support a diverse and individual flavor development.

The well-balanced and harmonic finish is characterized by freshness and creaminess.

Country beer („Landbier”)

Bavaria’s alternative for fans of Pils

When nosing it, the country beer immediately suggests a complex aroma mainly based on hops. You are greeted by floral notes, fresh herbs and meadow flowers in spring showing individually without suggesting any bitterness. The complex aromas of hops are perfectly balanced by a fine sweetness of fruit.

On the palate a clear aroma characterized by both elegant and strong notes of hops fill the mouth, giving the beer a delicate freshness.

The creamy full-bodied taste originates from a sturdy maltiness, which never overshadows but complements the complex aromas of hops.

The creamy and malty finish is also continuously accompanied by a fine, long bitterness of hops.
